Fruit of Mincemeat Pie Filling

Without the suet--  Traditionally in pork fat, tis highly unpopular.  So let's not have suet in mincemeat and mix the fruit in its sauce with apples or pears into a holiday pie and make the house smell good again...  and call it what we will, nontraditionally Fruit of Mincemeat.  This can be prepared in crisps and cobblers, as well, even in cake; pecans and walnuts are included.
